A Break From The World

This vast period of lockdown has been overwhelming for every one of us. We don't know what's going to happen in future and we don't have an end goal to look up to.... Monday blues have turned into everyday blues and worst part is we cannot even do something about it . Although, I do agree that being with your family after years is great and it has allowed everyone to spend good quality time with their family. However, it has also given us a lot of free time which we didn't get normally with our busy routine earlier. This time has got me thinking a lot about the things I used to ignore because back then it was a lot to take on but now these thoughts come more often and haunt you. Some people who have anxiety and other issues may also get triggered but all we can do is learn how to deal with it and wake up every morning and understand that we are not alone . I remember those days as kids when we used to look up in the sky and try to figure out what shapes or figures does the clouds make or whom do they look like and well I always used to love doing that, and I still do. Going on the terrace watching nothing but the sky over my head gave me a feeling of peace along with freedom. That moment gave when the wind blew my hair and the scorching sun which made almost impossible to look at it gave me a sense of eternal peace. I realized peace had a different meaning for me, it meant that sometimes you give up and accept your defeat, and just enjoy everything around you which you are a part of. The sky though used to excite me, like I am sure every kid has once wished if he/she could fly high into this humungous yet sovereign sky. I used to dream of flying without any intention of reaching somewhere and just to enjoy a moment of freedom.
